Mend Hoover Tc Switched

Why wont my Hoover TC 650 condenser dryer stay switched on?

It works when I press the start button, or if I keep it pressed in, but turns itself off when I release the start button. I have emptied the water and cleaned the filter but this hasn't helped.

Replace the relay (espares.co.uk manufacturer #91201247 £14.36) - there is a picture of the part on this site too - located behind the front panel. Remove top and you will see it.
