My problem is with the RD-XS30 hdd/dvd recorder, purchased in 2004 only recently the check disc dirty or damaged error message keeps coming up and i am unable to copy to dvd -r as enter blank disc appears. No problems with the HD but i have content that i would like to transfer and not being able to watch dvds is also a pain..lol I have also noticed there is now a clicking sound when the disc is trying to read...any advice or solutions would be appreciated.
I have a toshiba rd xs24 which is a similar model, i cannot read discs as the tray closes and shuts but does not engage with the system to say its ready to read
