Mend Fisher & Paykel MW511 Washing Machine Drain Pump

My washing machine won't drain or spin. Fisher & Paykel MW511?

I can see the white lock on the pump but I can not turn the pump anti-clockwise to clean out the filter. Any suggestions

May be the thermistor is shorted and there may be problem with the motor if it is not turning if you give a small rotation to the fan blade /impeller what is the error code and which lights are on? The third 5th and the spin light on the right? May be both have to be replaced good lock
Is this an old post and you have already fixed the washing machine?

I had the same problem with a GWL11 smartdrive. The circulation pump had burned out. I was able to obtain a replacement part from a Fisher Pakel dealer for $75.00 and after installing it the washer worked properly again.

To remove the pump lift the tab which keeps it from turning and turn it clockwise. It will resist turning but apply a small amount of force and it will break loose and turn.

sounds like some thing stuck in the pump,it wont spin untill it is drained could be a coin ,nail ,clip etc ,is there a screw in the centre of the filter
