how do i get the oil filter off my ldv convoy?

i am doing an oil change on my ldv convoy but cant get the oil filter off. i dont know if it is just stiff but i dont want to force it. does it just unscrew. i have also just changed the fuel filter. did i need to fill it with clean deisel before putting it on?

its a pegeout engine. i also cant find the chassis number which i need to for mot as i am in portugal. i know where the plate is but not the other number.
