KENMORE WASHER 90 SERIES(DIRECT DRIVE)--NOT SPINNING (with smoke and burning smell)unless I help it get started. All other functions working fine.

turn it off unpower it , take in out into the middle of the floor, put it on its side , have a look up into it, see of the fanbelts or ok and not broken and are turning ok and not sticking,
