Mend MTD 351777 Mtd Riding Mower

my white mtd gt 205 20hp v twin ohv vanguard riding mower model 351777?

my riding mower is not getting gas to the carberater it will begin to start by using starter fluid but then quit. there was some rain water in the lines ,and carberater it has been drained out. do thes mowers have fuel pumps? I noticed a round device located on the side of the motor that has a gas line running into it and runnning out of it . the filter and lines are clear of any water or debre. can you help

yes it has a fuel pump, it is the device you described having fuel lines coming in and out, try very low pressure air to blow backwards through the pump to blow water or whatever else could be in there out of the pump.. dont blow the direction of fuel, you want the stuff to come out the way it came in, if there is crud in the pump it may ruin the diphram in the pump if you blow forwards
