Mend Texecom Veritas 8 Alarm Unset Flashing

How can I reset my Texecom Veritas 8 alarm?

My Texecom Veritas 8 alarm won't reset. The green unset light is flashing and normally when you preset reset it returns to normal. But this isn't working at the moment. Manual doesn't mention anything about this. Anyone any ideas?

Power down and then apply power then press tamper spring 3 times before tone

I think this is indicating a power problem

It could mean the battery is flat or no mains to the control panel
