Mend Camcorder Tape Video

Taping a TV???

I used an camcorder to tape a cutscene in a video game which was playing on a standard TV (NOT LCD or Plasma) but the screen would have lines running through and dark bottom/tops which where not there on the original screen. I am trying to tape it for my laptop, is there any wy to filter that out, or better yet, stop it before it happens?

Not easily with domestic kit. When professionals film tv or pc screens they use a special device which synchronises the scan rate of the item being filmed with the camera.
