Mend DI-FUSION EA17 2nd Power Light

Security Lock!!?

Hi, bought a DI-FUSION EA17 2nd hand but power light comes on but screen stays black..there is a small opening at the back with a padlock emblem which according to my search on the net, is a SECURITY DEVICE 2 prevent snooping when ur away from your desk. Could this be the simple cause & if so how can i bypass it or is my imaculate tft worthless!!?

Isn't this the same as on a laptop where you can insert a security chain to stop somebody stealing it?
If the light is staying orange, then you are not giving it a video signal from the PC, but, if the light flashes green then goes orange then your monitor is faulty, you could try a repair company like www.lumaco.co.uk.
