Alba RDVD1001XI DVD Recorder..When it records it will not play back?

Alba RDVD1001XI DVD Recorder..When it records it will not play back, says 'ERROR DISK' On All disk types.....all are finalized where needed. But it will play brand new DVD's no problem.

Alba Video, DVD Players Dvd Play Disk

As well as being finalised the dvds have to be the correct format DVD+R are the only ones it will record to.
