one of my main headlights stopped working?

The bulb is good and the fuses are ok so am wondering what to check next? anyone got any ideas? the cars an N plate 1.9td Xantia

when you say the bulb is good have you tried it out and seen it working?.plug it in on side that works and test bulb is good and then if it is ok check wiring/earthing etc.
