hi my car was doin the same but also a little hesitant on accceleration, i had it plugged into a scanner an it was the lambda sensor changed it an now runs fine might be worth a check

ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS CLEAN THE INJECTORS WITH ADDON TO FUEL TANK , OR MAXIMUM CLEAN THE CARB , EASY JOB NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT , BEST REGARDS

Hi mate,sounds like your idle valve,i had same fault on a mk2 golf.Their about £100,so make sure it IS the problem 1st! Invest in a haynes manual.
