How can I fix my Hitachi L42VP01U?

Is the red light flashing. The red light is a fault code. If you have no red light, then you have an eprom fault. Also how old is the tv, under the sale of good act 1979 amended the retailer is liable, do not let them fob you off that it is out of the 12 month warrenty period. Your claim is on the basis that the tv is not of satisfactry quality and not fit for the purpose, or if you paid by credit card make a claim from your credit card company under section 75 of the consumer credit act.

Once you've turned it on, there should be a STANDBY light (red) on then you press the orange button on the top-left on your control and then it should turn green. If you did all that, then there must be a problem with your internal TV cos I've got the EXACT same problem and I ain't the only on.
