There is no repair other than changing the valve for a new one as I have had to do twice because the motor coil had failed in our last house. Seems to be a diverter valve design problem. Easy enough to change as long as you can get a spanner on things but you will have to switch off the electricity to disconnect the wires and drain the system below the valve level. Make sure you fit the right new one the correct way around. I marked the pipe with an arrow and took the valve to the Plumb Centre with me to ensure I bought the right one. Hope this helps.
