I did that, unscrewed the lid, sorted out the cable and when I put it back together and switched it on, it was completely dead!! KAPUT!! I am now trying to get the power back. Tried changing fuses but nothing.

you need to take the top off takeout the 4 screws and lift the top cover off you will see like a reel for the cable and just comon sense and work out why its jammed
