how to put upper thread tension back together piece by piece ?

how to put upper thread tension back together piece by piece, on a Brother Boutique 741 and a White model #1210 sewing machine Someone was very vindictive and took both my machines apart. I can't afford to have them repaired as I am on a disability allowance. I am very good at fixing my machine but Im thinking may-be they took some part as no matter what L do it will not sew properly I need photos of all the pieces and how they fit together.
