whirlpool washing maching cold water problem?

Two things you can look into. First, shut off the cold water supply that leads to the water inlet valve on the back of the machine. Loosen the cold water hose at the fill valve and check it to make sure it's clear of sediment. There should be little screens in there as well that can get cluttered up. Second, you have to remove the cabinet and test the water inlet valve by making sure there's continuity at the cold water side of the valve. Not difficult to do, but you need an ohm meter.
