Mend Fisher and Paykel ecosmartGWL11 Out Drainage Pipe Machine

how can i get the safety pin out of the drainage pipe or machine?

The rinse cycle won't work again so after emptying the clothes and water I found the head of a safety pin at the bottom. This happened once before and the repair man unscrewed something on the bottm of the machine and found the pin. I propped the machine but can't find what to undo. The machine is a Fisher and Paykel model ecosmartGWL11

He removed the drain pump which comes out by turning it anti-clockwise while holding the plastic retaining clip away from the pump body at the same time.

Unplug the wires from the pump before doing this.
