Mend Ferroli Domitech Boiler Heating Pressure

Ferroli gas fired boiler problem?

Our Ferroli Domitech gas fired boiler is programmed to come on and off first thing and in the evening. The hydrometer is checked so it is at 1.5 bar. But on a regular basis the heating will not come on and the gague reads 0 but once the valve is turned on to release some water in it returns up to 1.0 to 1.5 straight away. The heating and hot water then comes back on. Any idea what could be causing this? Thanks.

Thanks Tony. We have detected the leak to one of the upstairs radiators - which we are now going to replace.

Hi Pete

You have a leak in the boiler or radiator system at some point,check the pipe terminating outside from the presure release valve on the boiler to see if leaking (thyis is usually the copper pipe pointing downwards directly under flue termination check all visible pipework to radiators and valves to see any leak and repair
you must sort this problem out as if you are topping system up everyday you are letting fresh corrosion into system and will cause alot of damage to boiler and radiators
If you are filling up boiler once a day the leak is detectable
