Replacing belt?

i can't figure how to get the vac open so as to be able to replace the belt on my HOOVER ENCORE SUPREME UPRIGHT VAC....IT IS MODEL U4263-930 sERIES b 7.0 bAG TYPE A...Belt 38528-027...Serial # is 059400257027...Any ideas appreciated...the brush comes off easily and obviously the belt goes around the brush roller and into ??????? which is what i cannot figure out how to open..... Worked for me! I would add that you need to unlock it from upright to remove the top cover

In order to replace the belt you have to take the bottom cover and the brusher roller out, and then pop off the top cover. If yours is like mine its green and just a plastic hood. there are two clips towards the back on the bottom if you push those to the inside and pull kind of out and up on the top those should release and the top will come up and then pull it towards the front to remove it. There is a silver peg sticking out. One end of the belt goes around that and the other up through the hole in front and around your roller. just snap everything back together and you should be good to go
