Mend Peugeot Original Battery Code

My Peugeot 405 radio (original fit)?

When my new battery was connected, my son (not knowing the code) messed around to try and find it. Now all I have showing is 'security' when I switch on. Nothing seems to work although I have tried entering the correct code. Has anyone any idea of what to do please, or do I have to take it to a specialised garage. Thank you.?

You are allowed 3 attempts to input the correct code with a 2 minute delay between tries. After 3 incorrect entries the display shows SECURITY and you must wait 2 hours with the ignition and radio on before a retry is allowed.
