Mend Electrolux 2100 Vacuum Suction Filter

Electrolux Model 2100 vacum sweeper with Power head Model 7B?

When I connect the vacum sweeper to the wall outlet, it runs fine but does not pick anything up. There seems to be no vacum from the tank itself. I put in a new bag and checked the filter, both are OK. The sweeper runs fine but no vacum. Where can I look ?? I do not have a manual for this sweeper.

was working and then I took hose out and put back in and then an additional light came on. Turn on button want cut vacum on now and I changed bag filter etc; ANY IDEAS!!!

No, it's a model PN5 power head.

I had a similar problem one time. Was ready to give up on it. Turned out the hose was clogged a little bit, and the suction selector switch was set on the lowest setting, which is easy to overlook. Check the suction slider control on the wand, too. The manual doesn't offer much advice other than this.
