Mend Hoover Dryer Plug Light

hoover condenser dryer not working?

When i plug it to the mains the light comes on, then when i close the door it trips the fuse box !any ideas please .

it will most likely be the heater element, it wont be the armature or brushes as this dryer doesn't have those it has a different type of motor

Element, Wiring, Door switch, Motor, Brushes.

Element spring broken dropping down causing short, Door switch come apart neutral touching live, Motor shorting. Brushes in the motor worn also this will cause sluggish movement of drum and often the drum will fail or struggle to turn causing the motor to overheat than blowing the fuse.
