Mend Replace Water Replaced

how can I replace the water in a large snowglobe?

My mom has a snowglobe that needs the water replaced. It was given to her by an uncle but she isn't willing to pay to have it repaired. I know it means alot to her and am hoping I can replace the water myself. It appears to be glued together at the bottem where the music box is and it is made in china. Is this something maybe I can fix myself?
