Hotpoint WD63 leaking, losing socks, grinding?

Primarily my soap drawer is leaking during the initial fill cycle. I have checked everything - level machine, water pressure, tubing blocked, not too much powder, drawer is clean, hot cycle to flush system... Still water pours from the drawer about 80% of the way through the fill. An engineer has checked the machine and found no problems. I have heard of a fix pack, but not where to find one.

I keep losing small socks into the waste pipe which interupts the rinse and spin stage.

Occasionally I hear a sort of grinding sound during the spin cycle, it sounds like a bra wire stuck somewhere - which I have not ruled out yet, but if it is, it won't come into the waste with the socks!!!

Any suggestions?

Hi - I have the same problem regards the leaking soap drawer and its only just started (I've had the machine for about a ayear and a half now and its always been fine until now) its when the machine first starts and the soap drawer fills - it really starts leaking from the drawer badly but then its fine. Anyone had a solution to this yet? I dont think its water pressure and I've cleaned the drawer.

Hotpoint are sending a free laundry bag for socks etc...
They have suggested that a replacement soap drawer MAY solve the problem...
Anyone else had this problem?

Thanks, it is not the water pressure, too much powder in the drawer or the level of the unit (I have just had my floor re-tiled with no effect). Damn thing just likes leaking. Any more suggestions?
I think that your latter solution - waiting until it works itself out is my way forward. Removing front plates and so on sounds a little too much like stuff that can and will go wrong.

firstly you could try reducing the water pressure to the machine by closeing the tap a bit I know that it is not very scientific but this is a common problem, put the small stuff in a wash bag, if you can't get the obstruction out through the drain hole its either remove the element or the front plate or ignor it till it does move
