Mend TomTom One Tom

How can I fix my TomTom one?

While downloading an update, an error msg appeared saying a file was missing. Now my TomTom won't connect to my PC. It will turn on but not completely load up for use. A red X over the two palms keeps displaying

On the back of the unit is a small rubber grommet . Remove this , and underneath is a small master reset button . To press this you will need something really thin ( I have used a paperclip unfolded ) . This takes the unit back to the factory settings and unless the motherboard inside is bust it should solve your problem .
