Mend Rowenta DW5080 Steam Comes Out

no steam comes out?

Rowenta Iron: why I press the button to release steam, no steam comes out. I have cleaned the steam vents. Is it pssible that the button is broken. Is it worth fixing. ROWENTA PRECISION

I am having the same problem with my good Kenmore- the button is pushed down and won't pop up. Wonder if we can take the cover off and resit the button? As i bought it on sale for $40 and they charge $30 to CARRY it in to the repair shop to have them look at it - in my case it may be cheaper to buy a new one. I know Rowenta's can be pricey so try calling appliance repair shops and checking prices/ labor /parts.
