how can i fix my electrolux epic series 3600 SR?

Hi Anne. If you have your answer, ignore this message. If the suction motor(first stage of the switch) is working then it sounds like a block in the hose or housing unit itself. Maybe the hose is cracked also. To fix : Turn the vacuum over and remove the screws (5 or 6). Use a slot screwdriver to slide into the two slots that lie between the wheels and hose. Push firmly to slide the top of the lower section off. Turn machine over. Remove casing. Watch carefully how it comes off and where the clear plastic pieces go so that assembly will be easier. You may have to remove two six point screws (hex shape) to move the light and wires out of your way. Unscrew the hose counter-clockwise. If it is clogged or broken, clear or replace respectively. If the hose is okay, clear the path going up into the case of the machine. Wish you well.
