How to take apart a Electrolux EL7000?

If you have an Electrolux 7000 model, which is a cannister vacuum, either white and grey, or white and blue in color, sold in North America, it has a 5 or 7 year warranty. I am not sure if that is the vacuum you describe as an EL7000, but it maybe under warranty at the our local AERUS (new name for Electrolux) dealer. Check the yellow pages under vacuum cleaners "AERUS". Look for your original bill of sale and check the date purchased.
