Mend Zip Hot Water Cylinder

How can i fix my hot water cylinder?

i have turned down the temperture on the cylinder to its lowest temp!
i have turned the tap down under the house to half way!
But hot water is still leaking out of over flow spout!

Zip electric water heater - capacity 180 ltrs
Manufractured - 1983

Any ideas will be greatfull

have you checked ur ballcock in cylinder we had this and plumber came out and siad to just bend arm on ball cock so that it sat slightly lower in tank and shut water off before it got to overflow level
