smeg oven door not closing?

I was having the same problem - but fixed it,
thanks to this article which explains how to remove the door

- when replacing the door, be sure to put it back with the lower part as close to the oven as possible.

It took me a while to figure out what the clips were, they are a small piece of metal with circular sides, by pushing this up, they will clip onto the metal piece above, then closing the door lifts it out.
