How to replace spring on starter rope on Wards 8 HP Briggs & Stratton?

I have the replacement spring but am not sure how to put it in the machine. The engine is on a wood splitter and the numbers are 190402 0652 04 75040211.

pull the hole pull cord off -bend the tabs up so you can get to the spring-be-careful that the spring doesn't jump out at you! it hurts!-take it apart and put back together it will self explained the way you took it a part put it back together the same way.
