what is the knocking noise coming from under my renault traffic dci 100 van?

I get an intermitant knocking/groaning noise from the underside engine area of my renault trafic dci 100, it is nothing to do with the gear box as I've had my mechanic have a good poke around and drive of it, he cant find any fault, other than the slight knocking noise it drives like new, it is very frustrating. It's an 05 plate and done 66k, any suggestions?

I get a knocking on the front end had all drop links roll bars bushy one still knock any advice could this be the sub frame , Renault only sell the sub frame complete Iv been told

Mine was the same. replaced all ball joints track rod ends and drop links, still clonking. Turned out to be the front subframe bushes. Just changed them yesterday, nice and smooth now, no knocking!

i had yhe same my mechanic said i needed 2 balljoint and 2 trackrod arms for the test and cables for the brakes brendan farell brought it to duffys in cootehill and it cost me 150 for the test and they got it passed still as bad as ever but it passed cheer mal

i had this on a vivaro van and it was the rear exhaust mounting rubber that had twisted forward and slackened the tension on mounting, i just gave it a hard tug and pulled it back in position, now cured. kenny

Loose exhaust pipe, exh pipe too close to something else, steering/suspension worn, bushes worn.........etc
