Spare a door handle, then replace, on an Indesit w123?

I just ordered a new door handle kit for my Indesit W123UK, but for now I try to open the door of the machine which is stuck, I have some clothes in it, the machine has stopped how can I do now that the door handle is broken ? Please help me as it is an emergency !!! Thanks in advance for your help !! Cheers ! Nicolas

Internet search provides several alternatives. Try Currys partmaster or Uk Appliance parts.

As for replacing the door handle - it's not as complicated as it looks. First remove the door from it's hinge, (not the hinge from the machine). Next remove the six posidrive screws from the inside of the door. Now gently prise the two door sections apart, (don't drop the glass bowl!). This will expose the internals of the handle.

To remove the handle pull the pin from it's mountings, (remember what it looks like before you do this - it makes it easier to put back together). Reassemble in reverse.
