how to fix lodos dvb-t3 freeview box?

hi , just a quick note to let you know i followed the below link and updated my lodos dcb-t3 with success.
I had problems with the pictue freezing on screen but sound continued as normal , the unit then turned of and restarted , only to have the same symptoms. i was going to throw it away untill i saw the seriel port on the rear , so i decided to reasarch the net to see what it was for , and i found ths site. i was almost put of the repair as pc world are charging 9 pounds for a cable however a little computer shop charged only 2.50 .
i updated following the instructions(one point missing is that you need the unit plugged in and switched on )upon trying the unit i didnt get a picture , i tried several times again to update untill the penny dropped, PLEASE NOTE THAT WHEN UNPLUGGING MY SCART LEAD I LOOSENED THE END NEAR THE TELLY , PLEASE WHEN YOU UPDATE ENSURE ALL CABLES ARE SECURE TO AVOID FRUSTRATION.
Ive had the unit running for 4 hours now with no problem . i havent noticed any difference in the units performance, no better picture , sound or interface , i dont believe that the download should give any new facilities , but the main thing is ive not had to throw it away . thanks for the advise , hope the above helps particullarly please ensure your cables ars secure whan re attaching the unit to the TV

did you ever get an answer to this problem?? I've got the same problem with this cr*p Lodos box and cannot get Lodos tech advice anywhere. Is there a download you found to fix it?? If you know of any please email me barry@ambercraft.co.uk

Don't know any specific problems with that receiver, but generally the only user option that may correct any software bugs is to download the manufacturers update.

You could check here for software updates (software bug fixes).. or contact the manufacturer for info.

Generally, this requires selecting a BBC channel on the specified date and selecting software update from the recievers menu to download any update.

(PS. I understand this is basically the same as the Goodmans GDB3 receiver.)
