no boting?

If you have two CD drives, try the recovery CDROM in both drives. Also watch the lights on the drives, in what sequence does the computer try to read them?

It maybe that the PC never gets to try reading the CD drive into which you're loading the CDROM. Immediately after switching-on there'll be a message along the lines of:

Press DEL to access BIOS settings.

Press whichever key necessary to get into the BIOS settings. Now be very cautious in here, don't change anything you're not sure of! If you accidently do, press the Escape key (top left of keyboard) and choose "Exit without saving". That'll get you out and discard the unwanted changes. Then you can switch-on again and come into the BIOS for another go.

In the BIOS look for a setting labelled something like:
Startup Order, Boot Order or Boot Devices.

It'll have an entry like: HDD>CDROM>USB>Floppy. (It might show Floppy as FDD).

Change it so the first three devices in the order are: Floppy>CDROM>HDD. Subsequent ones won't matter too much.

Once you've got this setting right and you're sure you haven't changed anythingelse, choose "Save and Exit".

Place the recovery CDROM in the CD drive and restart the PC. It's more likely to read it now!

if running xp turn on puter pree f8 till safe mode appears. click enter follow prompts till u have desktop, then all progs accesories system tools restore pc to earlier time, if that fails set bios to boot from cd put in restore cd in drive and follow prompts
