how can i fix my HD tv when i can't to see picture ?

When i see tv it has a picture and sound but when i change to DVD I coudn't to see the picutre but i heared the sound how can i fix this problem?

What kind of t.v., dvd. Is it a t.v.dvd player? when u switch to dvd, How do you switch? Switch what ? Did you try different dvd ?movies?. Try a place a audiomusic in and see of the t.v. menu comes up while the music is play, thats the picture of your dvd on the screen.
