Mend Murray Mower Solenoid Switch

Murray riding mower wont start?

I was cutting grass, and one of the wires from the headlite came loose and shorted against the metal hood. When I got off the mower to unload the bagger, I could not start the mower, could the short have caused the seat switch to fail, or the solenoid, if so, is there a way to by pass the seat safety switch.

if you want to bypass the seat switch, cut the 2 wires the switch is meant to connect and connect them manually.
