Mouse. How to get it to work on start up everytime?
Please can anyone help ?. My sony 3D Mouse wont work everytime i bootup, sometimes it does. But normaly i have to ctrl-alt-delete shut down the pc and start the pc up again and retry, I've tried moving the mouse about as the pc is starting and sometimes it works sometimes not. any ideas would be apreciated.
P.S. the mouse is USB it came with an adaptor for plugging into the normal mouse socket I've tried it both ways and it doesnt seem to make a diference. On the back of the mouse it has ( 3D optical mouse ) Sony on the front. Please Help I'm pulling my hair out. also it is a pain when restarting then restarting again and sometimes again. aaahhhh.
If you have a genuine OS copy, you can get any driver you want from Mcrosoft.
This model of so-called mouse you described was sold to me in our university bookshop in Nigeria. It does not work at all with ME or XP. It says "SONY" on the top, "DACHEM 3D Mouse" underneath. "Made in China."
The same source also sold us another mouse called "Optrex," that worked for a time, then malfuntioned and hung up your system. Probably from the same source.
The standard way used to be to uninstall the hardware, reboot, and let windoze rediscover the wheel at next reboot. That got us nowhere fast with these devices.

just a thought but you could try reinstalling the motherboard drivers and update the usb drivers from microsoft
