how can i fix the heating on my 97 ford transit?

I have a 97 transit 2.5 diesel. the heater fan has stopped working. it doesnt work on any speeds.

On mine theres no radio and through this hole I could disconnect the fans electrical feed. By attaching a test lamp you can ascertain whether the electrical supply is working. On mine there is power there so the fault must be in the fan unit itself. Thats as far as I've got as I trying to work out how to remove the heater fan from under the dash.
