Mend Peugeot 205 Lock Stuck Passenger Door

Peugeot 205 1994 - Lock "stuck"?

The passenger door lock has jammed on My 1994 205 Mardi Gras. IT is inaccessible from the outside and because the door will not open I cannot reach the mechanisms. I have removed the covering from the inside of the door and there seems to be a jam stopping the lock from opening. I cannot reach it from inside or outside. Any ideas please? It will get a bit tiresome feeding my pasengers in through the sunroof of this 2 door model

I tried this and after two hours managed to get the door open.
But after working perfectly for about 5 times it locked itself again.
It was too dark by then to see what is going on. It gave me a chance to strip the door and tomorrow after work I will have a look
again to see what is going on when I have more light.
