how can i repair my escort van clutch?

the gear will not engage when i press clutch pedal it is very hard to get into gear will engage when engine off ford escort 1.8 deisel van 1995

could be clutch arm broken where it is clamped to withdrawal arm or finger on withdrawal arm broken,sometimes little roll pin on arm finger breaks off and bearing dislodges,i take it that pedal is still correct height and not part way to floor which may indicate fault in auto adjuster?
