My Dualit kettle is leaking water?

I'M HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AND MY WINDOWS HAVE GONE TOO. WE REMOVED THEM LAST NIGHT AND EXPECTED TO BE ABLE TO BUY PARTS BUT HAVE JUST BEEN TOLD NO WAY BUT I CAN BUY A NW KETTLE FROM THEM FOR £40 I'M APPAULED. I SUGGESTED TO THE OPERATOR THAT I MIGHT GET A KETTLE FROM TESCO FOR £5 AND SHE INFORMED ME I COULD DO THAT BUT I WOULDN'T GET DUALIT QUALITY!!!!!!!! I SAID I'M HARDLY GOING TO SPEND £40 ON AN ITEM THAT HAS A DESIGN FAULT !!!!!!

The dualit jug kettle that we purchased in Nov 2007 started leaking from the plastic windows about 14 months later, the leak is now so bad that the kettle is virtually empty within 15 minutes. Have complained to dualit and their answer is to replace it! They did not acknowledge that this is a design fault but have offered a 40% discount against a new one from them. Judging by the number of complaints found on the net this is just a rubbish kettle. We will not be wasting more money on a dualit kettle. Suggest you ditch yours and buy a cheapy, you will be able to buy 1/2 a dozen for the same amount as it costs for one dualit, and if they each only last a year that is still better value than a dualit at 14months!

no, its a common fault contact dualit customer service, they are aware that this is a design fault from the amount of other customers with the same problem
