Having clutch/bobbin winding problems on a Kenmore 158.12260?

I can't get the hand wheel/clutch to disengage so I can't load my bobbin. I was able to get it working once by reseating the notched ring that's under the inner part, but this time it seems to be in place and it's still not disengaging. Please help, as I have a whole bunch of projects that people are waiting for! I have the manual, but no mention of problem shooting for this particular problem. Thank you. Rachel

Hello Rachel,
Take the stop motion wheel off again and reposition the three pronged washer, there is one position where you won't be able to release the stop motion and I think you have found it, any problems let me know, drivewithken@blueyonder.co.uk
