Mend Noise Vacuum Cleaner

How do i fix the noise on my vacuum cleaner?

Whenever i vacuum the crevices of the stairs it makes a high pitched screaming sound. Its been sounding funny like this since i got it. Some advice would be good thanks

Mine does it as well. I have a boss vac with high suction. I think all cleaners do it as my old one would screech and scream loudly so its not a fault in the system. Does sound funny though like u lot say, sounds sexy as well ;-)

Oh i know what sound you mean, does that on the couch too. It does sound like someone screaming "nooooo" at the top of their voice. I have a dyson which does it all the time, so its not just you seems everyone has heard it. I agree though makes laugh too

u are using a smaller part of the cleaner and it suks harder so the electric motor will work harder

Yeah that happens when i do it too. If u stroke it along the crevice it makes a funny screaming sound. Makes me giggle when i hear it as well, but it nothing to worry about. Just makes hoovering the stairs alot more fun! ;-) Jen

This is a regular occerance nothing to worry about. It happens when you dont use crevice tools. Weirdly it turns my boyfriend on ;-) and makes my friends laugh if they hear it. So dont worry all hoovers do it.
