15 yr old Maytag washer makes lots of noise, how can I repair that?

old Maytag washer still works, but it's been overloaded too many times and now makes a rocking noise in agitation and spin cycle. Is these a recommended way to fix this?

Our Maytag washer is about 1 1/2 years old and sounds like a rocket taking off during spin cycle. I took the whole dang thing apart last night and ended up stripping a bolt/nut that secures the motor and belt tightening. Well, it still sounds like a rocket even though I tightened the belt to within 1/2 inch deflection. Looks like a case of narrowing down the problem over days.
