Mend Peugeot Speedfight 2 Scooter Throttle

How can I fix my Speedfight 2 cold running problem?

My peugout Speedfight 2 starts when cold, but dies when throttle opened. Runs fine when warm. I suspect a problem with the Auto choke but don't know how to fix it or what to look for.

the auto choke takes time to operate, take it off the carb and measure how far it sticks out, turn on the ignition for 5 mins and the valve bit on the end should shorten by 6mm, if it doesn't thats the problem and you need a new one, please bear in mind a speedfight should be warmed up for 5 mins from stone cold before you ride it
