Renault Scenic (99 - 1.6) wipers have a mind of their own?

Dear Mr L.J.B Auto's Wolverhampton ! I CONFIRM !! Your solution was precise !!! Had the same exact problem and was solved after your suggestion. Renault service were too quick to recommend replacing the front wiper motor for about €250..after discount !!!! THANKS .. God be with you !!!!

my laguna 3 wipers stopped working in heavy rain on motorway. took to dealer they cant find anything wrong. got to wait for laguna expert in on monday. see what happens.

You are all wrong Ive just found the answer so listen carefully! This fault lies at the rear of the wiper motor it involves removing the wiper motor. Carefully lever off the plastic wheel box cover clips at rear of wiper motor
and you will see three copper sprung contacts these copper strips need to bent slightly to improve their contact with the park contacts on the wheel.
Reassemble and Bobs your uncle.

we have the same problem 1.6 megane scenic alize 1999 i think it may be the multi function unit at rear of fuse box

you may find that the wiper switch has broken contacts.try replacing switch

thats an electrial short. take it to an auto electrician, it wont be expensive.
