windscreen wipers faulty?

eVauxhall corsa 1.0 three door 2002 model year. How can I tell what is wrong with my windscreen wipers? They do not work, but were jerky when they did. How can I tell if it is the motor, fuse, relay or possibly all three that have gone. I have disconnected the four point multi connector from the wiper motor but do not know which connections to put a meter on to see if there is any power getting there. If there is no power then I presume that it must be a fuse or relay. However I do not have a layout for the fuse or relay box as the guy that sold me the car said that he had lost it. I know that this should just be a process of elimination if I only knew where to look and check. I have a feeling that the splined linkages on the mechanism may be worn which was making the wipers judder. Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Many Thanks.
