Mend Whirlpool 1995 Kenmore Dishwasher Help

dishwasher lock on light won't go out, HELP FAST PLEASE!?

I have a 1995 kenmore (whirlpool) dishwasher and the contols locked light is on and won't go out. I have tried pushing the no heat button as the instructions on the inside of the door says but that doesn't clear it. This has been happening off and on for a few weeks. Now it stays on. Dishwasher won't run in this condition. Help fast please. Thanks,

On the new Kenmore Elite dishwashers, you hold down the "HEATED DRY" button for 4 seconds to unlock.

Struggled with this for a weekend, and embarrassingly, the answer to the problem is written right there on the label at the top of the dishwasher door.

That doesn't work in this case . I tried on mine. I removed the inner linner just under the control touch pad and tapping with screwdriver on relays worked for month and again doing same thing. Kamlesh Singh

IN YOUR OWNERS MANUAL IT WILL TELL YOU... ON MOST THE KEYPAD BUTTON TO THE LEFT OF IT PUSH AND HOLD TILL LIGHT GOES OUT
